Birthday present

My best mate is 50 this weekend so I've been working on a little project for him.

It's a Lauri PT blade. The handle is made from some yew that I collected from a wind fall a few years back with red/black/red fibre spacers, top and tailed with lacewood and with brass bolster and ferrule.

The sheath is made as a dangler sheath with a clip to allow it to be taken on/off the belt easy. It is completed with a pocket for a Bladetech sharpener and a tube for the fire striker which is made from red deer antler, red fibre spacer and buffalo horn.

What do you think?

I think you do nice work, as always, love the sheath.

not sure about the handle myself but you've done a nice job incorporating the grain and I can see why you've done it.

I guess the important question is how does it balance? I'm guessing it's tail heavy :)
