My darling girlfriend has been extra nice to me this christmas and bought me a new electric guitar as she knew how pissed i was when i had to sell my old one!

I was wondering if anyone in the west yorkshire area who plays guitar would be willing to help out a fellow RFer with some lessons as i really want to learn to play so i can serenade her LOL!!!

I can send you chord diagrams, with "where to put which finger" if thats any help to you, or alternatively will send you a "how to play guitar......just!" book.

Any help??

PS: im in Bristol, otherwise I would pop over to teach you!!

Mike.

If you have an ipod touch or iphone, you can download apps with all the guitar chords and loads of other stuff too for guitar players

This site may help with chords ad other stuff http://guitar.about.com/library/blchordlibrary.htm

I'm no good at playing guitar but one way is to get a TAB book and learn the shapes plus lots of practice at strumming will help.

Pick a tune you like/know well,
google the chords, (open chords are easiest to start)
keep practicing until you've got it.

That's how I learnt.

Howdy

If you decide that you want lessons from a teacher at some point the guy i'd recommend is Jonathon Vipond who teaches in the Bradford/Leeds area. I went to uni with the guy and he's an outstanding teacher as well as a blindingly good player.
