Picked her up 29th July 2011 and got back about midnight.
First impressions......superb in all respects!
The reports I read were quite correct, you don't miss a 6th gear. The bike is very
stable at speed.
Lovely whine from the engine when rolling on in 5th with effortless roll on overtaking.
Good brakes for those pesky speed cameras on the A1!!
Looks gorgeous in burgundy, but I needed to clean all the bug crap off the front.
Bugs even deflected off my jacket onto the top of the tank - never had that before.
It's not really yours until you've given it a good clean, so that's a labour of love.
Doing 80+ most of the way, with only a handful of WOT (just to play) & I hit fuel
light at 145 and needed reserve at 155, about 38 to the gallon. Normal?
Just the one moment of peril, had to stop on the tiny pull-off edge of the M90 in
the dark to fiddle with the reserve tap - couldn't do it with my gloves on.
Must be a knack to it, or are they all awkward and stiff?
All in all, very happy

Nice example there Wirdy, good to see a shiny one, so many have faded over the years, especially the red ones, must be the warp speed that they travel at. :-bd

Great looking bike - love those colours :-bd
Erm
... it gets quite scary having to reach down for the fuel tap at those speeds, doesn't it :-ss
